Alas, my internet PC has dun gone all fuckled.\u00a0 I boot, she freeze.\u00a0 I boot, she freeze.\u00a0 Sigh.\u00a0 Tarnation!<\/p>\n
I hadn’t upgraded or reinstalled Xubuntu on this thing for a while… it was still running 9.04.\u00a0 And now I think I’ll have to reinstall the whole damn shebang.\u00a0 Now, this computer has 2 hard drives.\u00a0 3 partitions actually, but I digest.<\/p>\n
I have one HD that was used for backup… which was actually the original drive that came with the computer.\u00a0 It first had Windows XP on it, then XP again after I got a nasty fucking Windows virus.\u00a0 Then it had half Ubuntu 7.04 on it and half XP, then all Ubuntu 7.10… and somewhere along the way when I tried Xubuntu for the first time, I decided to just install that on the other newer drive I added later.<\/p>\n
So that drive is free again.\u00a0 And thanks to LiveCD magic, I’m backing up the backup and clearing out that 160GB space once more.\u00a0 And I’m going to have to reinstall Xubuntu on this internet computer and I’m going to have to get LXDE on it too, and customize it like I dun had before.<\/p>\n
But I won’t get that done tonight.\u00a0 Thunar tells me that the files I’m copying will be done in an hour-ish, and I’ll be in bed by then.\u00a0 Meh.<\/p>\n
The only thing I know I can’t do right now is enjoy a cam show from one of the lovely ladies on NiteFlirt.\u00a0 This is because I use a virtual Windows XP running inside Linux on that PC, and Yahoo cam only worked inside VirtualBox when I logged into Xubuntu.\u00a0 I’ll see if that can be fixed when I reinstall, but for now, I’ll have to either not enjoy a cam show or call a girl who does phone only.<\/p>\n
Or I could save some money, but where is the fun in that?<\/p>\n

Well, a big FUCK YOU goes out to Nvidia.\u00a0 Your latest Linux video driver IS A STEAMING FUCKING PILE OF SHIT.\u00a0 A fresh install of Xubuntu 10.04 now freezes just as horribly after the latest Nvidia driver has been installed.\u00a0 How long till a fix is issued?\u00a0 If the driver was open source, there would have been one already.<\/p>\n
Now my options are limited.\u00a0 I’m going to reinstall Xubuntu, but I’m also going to have to look through ubuntuforums.org to see if anyone has gotten a workaround for this.\u00a0 I will need to find out how to “downgrade” the video driver in a LiveCD environment.<\/p>\n
