Canadian bands!\u00a0 I had heard Limblifter&#8217;s song &#8220;Tinfoil&#8221; on The Old MuchMusic, and I had digged it.\u00a0 So when I heard their song &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IjhiLa_Evps\" target=\"_blank\">Screwed it Up<\/a>&#8221; on the radio, I digged it to a higher degree.\u00a0 High.\u00a0 Heh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I was stoned a lot back then.\u00a0 And come to think of it, and please feel free to insert a joke about the effects of marijuana on memory here, I&#8217;m remembering this slightly wrong.<\/p>\n<p>I heard this song first on a Calgary radio station.\u00a0 Kick 107.\u00a0 Before the radio dial turned to fucking shit.\u00a0 But I also heard it on The Peak.\u00a0 Along with The Tragically Hip.\u00a0 And I think that was about it for Canadian Bands, though they might have played The Odds once or twice.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, this song is a neat little slice of 90s Generation X angst.\u00a0 It measures approximately 45.2 \u00c1\u2026ngstr\u00c1\u00b6ms.\u00a0 And while I was fetching that thar YouTube link, I notice that YouTube has found it necessary to &#8220;suggest&#8221; I listen to some other songs&#8230;. for example&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.\u00a0 Okay, I like the way she looks and I like her robot space alien schtick, but I&#8217;ve tried thrice to listen to her music, and I just can&#8217;t do it.\u00a0 Her video has 259,222,142 views.\u00a0 &#8220;Screwed it Up&#8221; has 2,683.\u00a0 That&#8217;s 96616.527021990309355199403652628 times as many views.\u00a0 Clearly, the youth of today don&#8217;t want to revel in the glory of the Generation X 90s and all the \u00c1\u2026ngst that came with it.<\/p>\n<p>Or clearly, I&#8217;m just babbling.\u00a0 But with my fingers.\u00a0 Fingerbabbling.\u00a0 Perhaps.\u00a0 Mayhaps?\u00a0 Happenstance.\u00a0 Hamsterdance?\u00a0 Fuck no.\u00a0 Keep that shit to yourself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you a Canadian?\u00a0 Are you a member of &#8220;Generation X&#8221;?\u00a0 Remember all that &#8220;Generation X&#8221; ballyhoo?\u00a0 Piffle.
