I’ve had this song<\/a> in my head all day.\u00a0 And not because it’s 4\/20 today, appropriate as that is.\u00a0 You may not know this, but Bob Marley was known to partake of the marijuana cigarettes now and again.<\/p>\n

\nYes, it’s true.\u00a0 And here in 2010 I am displeased to report that consumption and sale of marijuana is still prohibited in most of the world.\u00a0 One day we will come out of the dark ages when it comes to pot.\u00a0 I hope that day comes in my lifetime.\u00a0 I would start smoking weed again if it did.\u00a0 Until then, governments and police will continue to be the best friends that organized crime ever had by keeping their cash cow illegal and thus lucrative.<\/p>\n

Some civilized thought is creeping in to the debate, and medical use of marijuana is no longer stigmatized like it used to be.\u00a0 People’s attitudes are changing.\u00a0 Too many people are still stubbornly and stupidly believing bullshit fed to them by the aforementioned governments and police agencies, but as time passes either they will come to see the truth or they will get old and die off.\u00a0 I hope for the first one, but the rest of society is counting on the latter.<\/p>\n

This isn’t a very funny post.\u00a0 Sorry.\u00a0 On to discussing the song!\u00a0 This is another B-Side.\u00a0 Can you believe it?!\u00a0 A song this fucking amazing and there was no room on the amazing 1973 album “Catch a Fire” because all the other tracks on that album were deemed amazinger.\u00a0 That’s a new word.\u00a0 I just made it up.<\/p>\n

I’m tired and I don’t have much more to say.\u00a0 So listen to the song.\u00a0 And if you smoke pot, light one up for me because it’s been about 6 years since I’ve had any.\u00a0 And who knows how long it will be before I can walk to the liquor store and legally buy some pot for myself.<\/p>\n
