Osanna!

No, no holy shoutings!  Donkeys not withstanding!  Ass!

This post has nothing to do with Palm Sunday.  Nor does it have anything to do with the band Chicago, who has fast become one of my very favorite bands ever, as long as I pretend they broke up in 1974.

No, this is about an old and musty Italian Progressive Rock band called Osanna.  I stumbled on their music on YouTube while sharing a link to another Italian Prog song.  I turned the music on while I ate and got ready for bed and Great Scott!  This band is awesome.

Apparently they took a lot of cues from the mighty Van Der Graaf Generator, which is fine because that is probably my favorite band ever – for those of you keeping score at home.  Osanna managed to make 3.5 great albums (one had about half-filler) before running out of steam.

I’ve listened to all of those 4 early albums and me likey.  Me likey a lot.

So what am I doing writing blog posts?  Well, I finally have some more time off.  Huzzah.  I have to go back to work tomorrow.  I feel like quitting at any moment though.  I was looking for a job when I found this one, you know what I mean.

Now I’m getting the angries again.  I’m gonna go get supper.  And watch Crash Course World History.  Watch it, it’s good!

Oh by the way, in 2008, David Jackson, ex Van Der Graaf Generator joined Osanna.  Who knew!?
