I’ve made six video games so far, and they’re all fun, deep, and engaging experiences. You can read about them here, on the Video Games page.
They have been a little tedious to set up and get running, though. Previously, you’ve had to download the files, use 7zip to unpack them to your Documents folder, and then manually make shortcuts and assign the provided game icon to those shortcuts. Well no more! Unless you like doing that. But if not, then no more!
I’ve used the free and open source program Inno Setup to make automated Windows installers that do all that work for you. Just download the exe installer file, double click on it, and you’ll have the game installed on your PC and ready to play. This is a totally safe and clean install that doesn’t even touch the registry or any hidden appdata folder, it simply unpacks the game files to your Documents folder and creates Start Menu shortcuts.
So if you’d like to re-install my games, or if you haven’t played them before, now is the perfect time to download them and check them out:
Enjoy!
Note to users of Chrome and other Chromium based browsers: downloading of exe files may be blocked. If so, you can probably change that in the settings. Or use Firefox instead, so you aren’t supporting a multi-billion dollar company that’s actively working to destroy the free and open internet, you know.
